A historical wonderland
With lush, green countryside, farm lanes and awesome sea views, horse riding is a popular family activity in Castlemartyr. There are also peaceful beaches perfect for family picnics and Castlemartyr castle, badly damaged after the Williamite Wars in 1688/89 is a sight to behold. After the wars it ceased to be used as a residence and since then has been in ruins.
